Upgrades, quests and Witchy Grimoire Pages

Building a Witch Coven gives you access to the Witch Coven quests. These quests unlock upgrades for the Witch Coven or remove active Witch Coven buffs.

Completing these quests requires Witchy Grimoire Pages, which you get through the following options:

• Invading Zombie Crypts
• Ghost Explorer
• Weathered Notebook

Negative effects of the Witch Coven buffs

The Witch Coven buffs also have negative effects.

• Risen Army: The buff Famine is applied when the production is completed and has an effect on food productions.
• Warmongery: The negative effects are part of the buff and affect weapon productions as well as units.
• Reckless Speed: The negative effect is applied when the buff expires; it slows your generals and reduces their accuracy.

Famine and Warmongery can be removed through Witch Coven quests. You have to pay either resources or Witchy Grimoire Pages to do so.
